Manuel Seoane was born in La Paz - Bolivia on March 1984, under the sign of Aries.

 

 

He has published his work at some magazzines like Kaos, Diafragma, Bex (Argentina), Jiwaki and SinMotivo. He has also published at the newspapers Cambio, Pagina Siete as well as with the international press agency Pressenza. He is an active member of the collective Fotografia Sinmotivo, with it he has participated on exibitions at Museo Tambo Quirquincho, Cinemateca Boliviana, Elzenhof Center (Belgium) and FocoOaxaca Festival (México) among others. He has also participated at the collective publications El motivo del sinmotivo: Ensayos Fotograficos (2011) and Sobre la ciudad y la mirada (2012). 

 

Among his highlighted achievings are:

-Honor Mention at the contest Miradas Subjetivas, organized by the Museo Nacional de Arte and the Goethe Institut, May 2008.

-Double Honor Mention at the contest Instantes, lo ignorado, organized by the Museo Nacional de Arte and the Goethe Institut, October 2009.

-Selected photographer for the project Viaje al Corazón de Bolivia, organized by the Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD) and the newspaper Pagina Siete (project winner of Premio Internacional de Periodismo Elizabeth Neuffer given by the UN). June-July 2011.

-Selected to participate at the catalogue Fotografía Boliviana, December 2012.

 

 

Currently he is part of the editors team of Diafragma and SinMotivo magazzines.

On his free time he studies Hydrology.​
